What Are We?
We are a Long Daycare Childcare Centre catering for fifty one (51) children aged from six (6) weeks to six (6) years of age. we are open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday fifty (50) weeks a year. We are closed for a two (2) week break over Christmas and New Year and on Public Holidays.

What We Provide…
- High quality education and care for all children.
- Professionally trained and qualified staff who strive to provide a safe, stimulating, caring environment in three (3) classrooms:
Koalas 0-2 years, Kangaroos 2-3 years and Kookaburras 4-6 years.
- Educationally based, individual programming, including a preschool program.
- A security system to ensure the safety of the children and staff while at the centre.
- Breakfast for the early birds as well as nutritious morning and afternoon teas, lunch is an optional extra.
- A large, well equipped and shaded outdoor play area.
- Access to specialist services to support children.
Staffing…
The Centre has a dedicated team of staff, over and above the minimum requirements. This team consists of: Educators with Early Childhood Degrees, Diplomas in Children’s Services, experienced childcare assistants a clerical assistant and lunch time relief staff. This team works together under the guidance of a ‘Non Teaching’ director to create a caring, safe and stimulating place of learning for your child. Playmates also has access to Inclusion Support Workers (ISF’s) who assist us with the inclusion of children with additional needs.
Fees…
At present our full daily fees are:
$109 for the children in the Kookaburras 4-6 years room
$113 for children in the Kangaroo 2-3 years room
$116 for children in Koala 0-2 years room
There is an equipment levy of $30 per school term and a $100 enrolment bond. Parents are able to claim CCS (Child Care Subsidy) through Centrelink. To complete enrollment we will need to know both you and your child’s CRN’s.
Fees are payable for public holidays and whenever your child is absent, unless “place sharing” has been arranged. We also offer “make up” days to replace public holidays – please ask at the office for more details.
If a permanent position is accepted, the bond is required upfront and the equipment levy is added to your account every term. The bond is refunded when when your child leaves, assuming that your fees are up to date.
What do you need to bring?
- A water bottle
- An immunisation history statement
- Your child’s lunch – if you need ideas please don’t hesitate to ask or alternatively we can provide lunch at $6 per day
- A set of fitted cot sheets for rest time
- A bag big enough for all of your child’s belongings as well as artwork that is sent home
- A few spare sets of clothing in case of accidents/messy play.
Please ensure that clothes are comfortable, easy to remove to go to the toilet and able to get dirty.
Place Sharing…
If your child is going to be absent, you can ask for ‘Place Sharing’. This is when another child comes into the centre to take you child’s place and in this instance pays your child’s fees for the day. It is not always guaranteed. If you are flexible, this may be a way to get casual care for your child.
